Roof Sealant - Front Cap
A small gap in roof sealant creates big problems. Water intrusion is the #1 cause of RV damage.
Anode Rod in Water Heater
Neglected water heater anode rods will cause steel water tanks to rust from the inside out. In the meantime, your water is nasty and has a horrible smell.
Dirty Air Conditioner - Failure
If an air conditioner can't breathe, then it can't cool. Excessively running a clogged air conditioner will slowly kill the compressor. A.C. preventative maintenance costs around $150.00 to $200.00. Air Conditioner replacement costs around $1300 - $2000.00.
Water heater - not winterized
I hear it all the time " I didn't winterize - I've never had a problem". A ruptured water heater is a problem that costs $1000.00 or more.
Furnace failure
Rodents, birds and insects love furnaces. This furnace was clogged so tight that it wouldn't start up and blew the fuse. This was not owner neglect, it just happened. Luckily, he called for furnace service before furnace season started.
No Brakes
This repair was caused by the owner pumping too much grease into the zerk on the hub. The seal ruptured causing a fire hazard, no brakes and a major repair expense (about $300.00 to $400.00 per wheel depending on parts) Wheel bearing service costs around $450.00 (includes 4 wheels). Just get wheel bearing service regularly and this shouldn't happen.
